Presentation Day & AGM (2006)
We have again reached the end of another very successful season. The Presentation Day was attended by the majority of the teams and all kids have received their trophies for the 2006 season. Click here for some pictures.
All that attended the AGM have voted for the club to be officially renamed Peninsula Soccer Club. Thank you to everyone that has attended the day and the AGM and a special welcome to everyone that is joining the committee for season 2007.
Saturday 29/07/06 was Gala Day for all the Sub-Juniors. Click here for some pictures. If anyone has pictures from teams played at different venues, please send them to webmaster@peninsulasoccerclub.org.au
Have you seen the new show on SBS? Check it out every Friday at 7:30pm. You can also click on their logo and check out their website for more info.

During our last committee meeting (20/07/06) we have drawn the raffle prize (the green and gold Nike ball) and the winner names on the ticket were Ned & Liam Omar. Ned plays in the U7's and Liam in the U10's. Congratulation to both of you. This weekend Liam was handed the prize by our President at the Gala Day in Mornington
NEW APPOINTMENT
We have now appointed Tom Burgess as the new coach for our senior teams. Tom comes to join Peninsula Soccer Club and brings a wealth of experience. Tom has very high objectives and expectations for the future of the senior team. I am sure Tom will contact all players soon to organise introductions and discuss how to go forward from here. I would like to ask everyone to join me in welcoming Tom to the club. For more details, please contact Craig Davis, Barry Newton or Peter Stuckenschmidt.

On Friday, January 12th, the club had the opportunity to be part of the A-League by supplying 12 kids to be ball boys and girls during Melbourne Victory x Queensland Roar. Click here to view a few pictures during the match.

Extraordinary General Meeting
The outcome of the meeting was that we start a joint-venture with the Frankston Strikers Soccer Club for an initial period of one season and at next AGM we will re-evaluate the progress
The new entity will be called
Peninsula Strikers Football Club
We will work as two separate football departments, namely
Junior Football Department, operating out of Delacombe Park and Senior Football Department, operating out of McCleland Drive
If you want to see the whole presentation from the EGM, please click here (suggest you save it to your hard drive and open it from there)
with the relevant manager or coach about availability of places.
LIGHTING
In another good note, we are pleased to inform that the additional lighting promised by the committee at the end of last season is now up and it makes a big difference from previous years as it covers the whole top ground. This will drastically improve the ground utilisation.
2006 Social Function - 9th September
